WebApr 1, 2003 · Tighten the rocker arm bolt down till there is no slop between the lifter, the pushrod, and the rocker arm (essentially zero lash). Then torque the bolt to 18-25 ft-lbs. It should get to torque within 3/4 to 1-1/4 turn from zero lash. If it gets to torque before that then you need longer pushrods because there isn't enough pre-load on your lifters.
